2017 Subaru Impreza review

The 2017 Impreza is larger than the outgoing version. The wheelbase is 2.5-cm longer; overall length up 4.0 cm. and it is 3.7 cm wider. The hatchback version is almost two centimetres shorter than the sedan.
The biggest change with the new global platform, in addition to its configurability is strength. Thanks to the use of more high strength steel and structural adhesives, the 2017 Impreza is 70 per cent stiffer than the 2016 model and 40 per cent more efficient in absorbing the forces generated in a crash.

The Impreza is the best-selling Subaru. Sales of the all-new 2017 version are up 33 per cent, while the compact segment in which it competes is down one per cent overall.

Although I have been covering and writing about the automotive scene for more than 40 years and the light still grows brightly.
