The the Mazda MX-5 RF (retractable fastback) has a four-piece roof section that, in an intricate 13-second ballet, folds into the trunk, taking up no more room than the canvas top of the regular model.

The top consists of front, middle and rear sections plus a glass rear window. When open, the front and middle sections and the glass are stacked under the deck lid.
